National Foster Care Youth & Alumni Policy Council Members met with Dr. David Sanders of Casey Family Programs this morning to discuss the vision and re-envisioning of the 21st Century Child Welfare System. Members shared ideas around prevention - including the importance of listening to young people and children who know what's happening in their families and the value of shifting focus from adversarial to supportive.
