The third annual Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day was held on May 29, 2014. Nearly 70 current and former foster youth from across the country gathered in Washington D.C. to shadow Members of Congress and advocate for improvement to the foster care system.

Foster youth, congressional members, child welfare professionals, and adult supporters all contributed to make Shadow Day a success. Both main stream media and social media helped spread the word and raise awareness for youth living in foster care.
