As part of the #HealthCareFFY campaign, FosterClub is pleased to invite you to a webinar hosted by the FosterClub All-Star Interns to discuss improving youth outreach efforts surrounding health policy and Medicaid until 26 benefits.
Hear first-hand about best practices for youth outreach from young people who have experienced foster care and are passionate advocates for foster youth across the nation. This webinar will explain health care benefits for former foster youth under the Affordable Care Act, highlight insufficiencies in current outreach efforts regarding these benefits, and offer insight and recommendations about how we can better reach youth so that as many as possible have access to the tools they need to build a healthy foundation for their lives as they transition out of care.

In this webinar, we will:
Review the provision of the Affordable Care Act that provides former foster youth (FFY) with Medicaid coverage until age 26
Discuss why it is important that youth receive this information
Hear from All-Star interns about the challenges facing FFY in accessing the coverage to which they are entitled 
Learn about best practices for reaching FFY and what YOU can do to help them gain access to the health care that they need 
The #HealthCareFFY Campaign seeks to deliver on the promise of health insurance and health care for all former foster youth at least until age 26 so that they have a healthy foundation for adulthood. The #HealthCareFFY Campaign is a project in partnership with the FosterClub, First Focus, State Policy Advocacy and Reform Center (SPARC), and the Juvenile Law Center (JLC).
