Alpha Xi Delta Chapter at The Ohio State University Raises $5,000 to Support Foster Youth
Members of Alpha Xi Delta’s Psi Chapter at The Ohio State University are turning community, creativity, and school spirit into meaningful support for young people in foster care. Through their annual "Xi Week" philanthropy event, the chapter raised $5,000 to support FosterClub’s mission of ensuring young people with foster care experience have the connections, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
"Xi Week" is a week-long tradition that brings students together through a variety of fundraising activities and events. One of the week’s highlights is "Xi Man," a campus-wide competition where fraternity members showcase their talents while students gather to cheer them on and support the cause.
The success of "Xi Week" reflects the commitment of the entire Psi Chapter. Members worked together throughout the week, contributing time, creativity, and donations to help make the event a success–from organizing activities to collecting items for raffle baskets that helped engage the broader Ohio State community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the Psi Chapter’s generosity and dedication to supporting young people in foster care,” said Lauren Galván, FosterClub's Donor Development Coordinator. “Their commitment reflects the incredible impact that happens when communities come together around a shared purpose. We are proud to partner with Alpha Xi Delta chapters across the country and inspired by the many ways their members show up for young people in foster care.”
Through their support, the Psi Chapter joins a nationwide community of Alpha Xi Delta members dedicated to making a difference for young people in foster care. FosterClub is grateful for Alpha Xi Delta’s continued partnership and for the Psi Chapter’s leadership, generosity, and commitment to creating meaningful change for foster youth.
