Chris was in a kinship placement with his grandmother at the age of 15. He was able to advocate for himself and his siblings. His efforts resulted in keeping them all together and Chris has continued to be a positive role model to his younger siblings. “I have never smoked, drank, or done any drugs of any sort. I plan to keep the promise to my siblings and to myself. I will not falter. I will be all I can be to make them proud.” Chris runs a baseball clinic twice a week through his town’s community center. He was also able to help in building a varsity football program at his high school and participated in their first ever season. Chris was able to participate in the CORE fall festival two years in a row. In his spare time Chris plays sports, but most importantly tries to spend time with his siblings.
