Warren Krieg spent 3 years in Iowa's foster care system.

Warren entered foster care at 15 and entered a residential treatment center (RTC) through the juvenile justice system. Despite what are often insurmountable odds for success in the juvenile justice system Warren used his positive attitude and desire to mentor others to complete treatment. He then entered independent living, and now lives independently in extended foster care finishing high school. Warren is an athlete and an active member of the Marine Corps Junior ROTC program at school. In this program he is an Assistant P.T officer and Sergeant, serving as a mentor and role model for younger cadets. Through ROTC he also has participated in local community events such as volunteering at his local American Legion. As an athlete he not only has earned medals in both Track and Cross Country, but he has ran several 5ks for local nonprofits. Warren hopes to enter college soon on a track scholarship.
