Taran has been in the foster care system since birth, experiencing over 20 placements. He has spoken at many events and been an active member of his local Youth Advisory Board, TEEN FOCUS. Through this group he has been able to meet with youth in the foster care system, and has spoken with caseworkers, lawyers, judges, and community partners about the life of a teenage foster youth. Taran also volunteers his time to a local youth shelter. Taran will graduate from Pensacola Junior college in May and will then transfer to the University of West Florida, pursuing a career in Law working with youth in the court system.
