Deanna Mousseau is from the Kul Wicasa Oyate and Oglala Sioux Tribe. She earned herBachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human ResourceManagement from Black Hills State University. As an alumna of the Encampment for Citizenshipnonprofit organization, Deanna was inspired to pursue her social justice aspirations. Sheremains committed to their mission and continues to volunteer on their fundraising committee.She is passionate about serving Indigenous communities which led her to complete the NativeYouth Grantmakers program with Native Americans in Philanthropy, where she gained valuableinsights into the Philanthropic sector. Her dedication to serving her community also earned her aspot on the National Foster Youth and Alumni Policy Council, where she advocates for changeand strives to help improve the lives of Native foster youth and families.Deanna loves spending time with her daughter whom she adores. They enjoy exploring thegreat outdoors, and Deanna enjoys expressing her creativity through writing and scrapbooking.Overall, Deanna is an enthusiastic, and caring individual who is committed to making a positiveimpact on the world.
