Education and Training Vouchers or ETVs are grants to help foster youth and people with lived experience in foster care pay for college, trade schools, or training programs.

If eligible, you may get up to $5,000 per academic year based on cost of attendance, available funds, and your unmet financial needs.ETV funds must be claimed within a five year period and before your 23rd birthday.

Eligibility

The Brighter Star ETV Program is intended to serve:

Youth and young adults who discharge from court-ordered foster care at age 18 or older
youth who, after turning age 16 years or older, exit court-ordered foster care to adoption or guardianship
