Annual success and achievement recognition
The FosterClub Outstanding Young Leaders is an annual recognition program aimed at recognizing the success and achievements of young people who have experienced foster care.
Over the past 18 years, we have worked with countless young people from the foster care system who are true inspirations. These youth have persevered through challenging circumstances and are now finding different ways to give back to their community and disprove negative stereotypes about foster kids.
Who is eligible?Young people must be aged 14 to 24 years old and must have spent some time in foster care in the United States. We are looking to celebrate and recognize young people who are engaged in local, state or national community service or advocacy. This could include activities such as youth boards, advisory committees, volunteering and service leadership.
How do I apply?
Young people who meet the eligibility requirements may apply to be recognized for their achievements and contributions.
Young people who are nominated by someone they know will be asked to complete the application form.
How do I nominate a young leader?Young people may be nominated by someone they know (a nominator). Nominators may be a coach, child welfare professional, teacher, CASA or anyone else who believes that the young person deserves consideration because of their outstanding commitment to helping improve the foster care system and/or their community.
