Child Welfare Complaint Office - Wisconsin

About this resource

Child Welfare Complaint Office, Ombudsman or sometimes called Child Advocates were established within states and/or Child Welfare to investigate complaints, concerns, or violations of children right's while in foster care. Ombudsman is a Swedish word that means "representative" or "agent." The names are different in every state though! If you have already tried to talk to your case worker, your case worker's supervisor, or a judge to address your concerns, going to the Complaints Office Contact is the next step.

Wisconsin lists several departments and ways to file complaints on this website, including a generic form: https://dcf.wisconsin.gov/contact/submit_a_complaint
