The recent Consolidated Appropriations Act set aside emergency relief for young people with foster care experience who are struggling because of the Pandemic. Each state is able to decide how the funds will be applied to the youth in their care.
Kansas is offering financial assistance to eligible individuals. To apply:

First, complete the Pre-Application Questions, so you know if you are eligible or not

Last, simply fill out the IL Pandemic Relief Online Application
Please note: You will need identifying documents with you at the time of applying.
Eligibility

Currently between the ages 18 and 20 (under age 21)

Currently residing in Kansas
-
Experienced out of home placement(s) (either through the Department for Children and Families, Tribal custody, or juvenile corrections custody)

The applicant shall not have received an Independent Living Pandemic Relief Payment previously.
