The 2017 Oregon Teen Conference provided foster youth across Oregon the opportunity to engage in various interactive and informative wellness workshops and activities sponsored by FosterClub. This was the fourth year in a row that conference was held at Camp Arrah Wanna, which again proved to be a successful and appropriate wellness environment for all attendees.
FosterClub contributed 4 staff members, 11 All-Stars (interns), as well as 2 Level II’s (interns) to facilitate, council and assist in meeting the needs of the 58 youth and their ILP providers. There were 22 ILP chaperones. In total 97 people attended.
The theme of Oregon Teen Conference this year was “Dream Big, Aim High.” An opportunity for youth to understand how trauma affects their mind, body, and self-esteem.
