Last week, Missouri Children’s Division in conjunction with FosterClub hosted a train-the-trainer opportunity on FosterClub’s Permanency Pact!
Although FosterClub's Permanency Pact is not a new tool, it is a tool Missouri plans to incorporate as part of best practice. The Pact aligns well with the domain of connectedness from the Five Domains of Well Being.
FosterClub’s Permanency Pact is a tool that can bridge the gap between a youth understanding permanency and attaining permanency. In this training Missouri Child Welfare professionals will learn that permanency comes in many different shapes and sizes, and that different people can provide different types of permanency. By learning to utilize the Permanency Pact they will learn to be a successful permanent connections facilitator and feel more confident as they assist youth in identifying supportive people in their lives.
The training will be provided by Foster Club All-Stars- Including Missouri’s 2014 All-Star, Lacy Larsen, Texas's 2014 All-Star Ernesto Olivares, and Missouri's 2013 All-Star and 2015 Level II All-Star Te'Asia Henderson.
