#FamilyFirstAct Twitter Storm

#FamilyFirstAct Twitter storm Friday, July 8th at 12pm ET, 9am PT

Foster Youth Support #FamilyFirstAct

Join former foster youth, pediatricians, child advocates, child welfare service providers, and policymakers for an hour-long Twitter storm on what children need from the child welfare system in orderto heal from trauma and thrive in family settings. Right now, major child welfare reform efforts are taking place on Capitol Hill through legislation known as the Family First Prevention Services Act. Among many other benefits, the bipartisan bill supports keeping children safely with their families, preventing the need for foster care, and ensuring that children in group homes have access to licensed clinical and nursing staff onsite where they live.
