Any advice for teens going on respit for a week? Foster family is sending me to respit and wondering if there is any advice? I have approximately 3 weeks to prepare

I found respite more relaxing than some of my carers on occasion, they seem more laid back as they are only there short term. Just see it as a distant family friend and your meeting for the first time, anything to make you feel more comfortable around them, I'm sure they will be nice. Keep posted on here plenty of us here if you need us., good luck

I would add take your phone contacts with you. Take comfort items. I hope it is an positive experience.

Honestly, respite isn't really that hard to prepare for. Make sure you pack all of the essentials and stuff, but other than that it should be pretty easy going and then you get to go back to your permanent placement.
