Eunice Medina of California has been in the foster care system since birth.  Eunice has lived in over 30 places in her life, including 27 placements before she turned 12.  Eunice was recently adopted after living with her mom for six years. Eunice has an extensive list of volunteer activities and participated in many activities in high school.  She has achieved a great deal academically and will graduate high school a semester early and, with the help of scholarships, she plans on attending college to earn a degree in Sociology at Ohio Wesleyan University on a full scholarship and was awarded the 2018 Horatio Algiers National Scholar Award.  She hopes to later attend law school to become an attorney who assists foster youth. Eunice wants to share her experiences with clients and inspire them to beat the odds, too.
