When I came to foster Club, I already had an image of what it would be like. From the way it would be college style learning all the way to housing, money, food, etc. The biggest flip around is when I got here and it was nothing like I imagined. From all of us being together and being able to connect on a same level. To not have to hide, to not have to try and be different, impress or change for society, but to be able to be ourselves had to have hit me the hardest. I also had an image on what we would be learning about because I knew some things, but my oh my. You really do learn something new every day. I've learned about more things than I ever knew about. The resources are...almost endless in my eyes. From the people who care all the way to help with schooling and more. My eyes have been opened to so many great things. So many wonderful discussions and privileges and amazing, wonderful people that are here, helping us. It's not only a wonderful adventure, but so far just an overall amazing experience. The things I am learning, and am continuing to learn is beyond informational. I love being here, learning what I can do to help and to advocate. To know that I can help make a difference! DANG! You really do learn something new every day and I love every step of the way!
