WOW!!!!! Where to start... Well I can first say that my first 2 months of this summer have been absolutely life changing and a blessing nonetheless. I really give so much thanks to FosterClub on giving me such a rare opportunity to do so much work networking foster youth together and giving me a door way to tell my story. This summer I have been able to do so many activities and I have been able to travel across the country to do policy work and attend different conferences. I have met so many inspiring people and I have met new friends that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. It is so crazy how something so traumatic can happen to oneself and then something life changing happens and puts you back on track. I will make this blog short but I can say I will be posting many blogs in the weeks to come of all of my journeys this summer. Pictures and videos can always be found on my Facebook. which you can reach out to me for that information. Remember to stay positive and keep pushing forward no matter what stands ahead.

Session B

Hey Ernesto! if you remember, I met you before you guys left :(. It sucks that I was just getting to know people from session A and then they all had to leave. But anyway, reading your blog makes me inspired and motivated for the days ahead. I'm currently in my 3rd week in and yes, it gets hard at times from being homesick to having all my friends leave for conferences. I have yet to attend one but am very excited for my New Hampshire trip coming up. Like you, I have learned tremendously and I feel like I am growing more into a well-rounded person. Never have I ever had to have deep, passionate, meaningful and very important discussions with super intelligent, insightful people. I feel like I have so much to learn and being here everyday is only inspiring me more and more! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

So Kind!!

Hey Emily :) It is so great to hear from you. I know the feelings all too well especially the homesickness lol. But its great to know that your keeping everything positive and I'm excited for you that you will be traveling across country to New Hampshire. I'm also really excited to be going to the Pathways Conference in Philadelphia. When they call you and ask you to do something after your internship it makes you feel worthy and most importantly it makes you feel accomplished and PROUD because I know I did something right. I wish we could have all spent more time with each other but we are always here for each other. Hope to hear back soon :) Have a Wonderful Day!!!!!!
