Seaside Coffee House Owner, Community Supporter, Donor
"I donate and support FosterClub because I get to see first hand the difference they make in the lives of the All-Stars every summer."
Born and raised in Seaside, Oregon, Michelle Wunderlich is the owner and operator of Seaside Coffee House located just a few blocks from the offices of FosterClub. Opened in May 2011, Seaside Coffee House quickly became the meeting space for the community. She feels that through the coffee house, she is a part of people’s lives and “can provide the comfort of coffee."
Every summer, Seaside Coffee House is visited by the FosterClub All-Star Interns because of the comfortable living room atmosphere, great coffee and, most likely, free WiFi! From the start of the summer to the end, Michelle forms relationships with the All-Stars witnessing the changes and personal growth they experience through FosterClub. She feels like she is an extension of FosterClub, able to connect with the young people in a different way being a community member.
In fact, Finance Specialist for FosterClub, Marcus Brown, first visited Seaside Coffee House and met Michelle in 2011 as an All-Star Intern and today works weekends at the coffeehouse.
This May, Michelle and the Seaside Coffee House are celebrating National Foster Care Month. They are collecting donations on behalf of FosterClub, as well as educating the public about foster care. A mother of three, Michelle is heavily involved in the local schools and an active member of the Seaside community.
