Leigh-Anna is a dedicated advocate for foster care reform and a member of the Youth Advisory Board for CASA-NYC in New York City. Entering foster care in Alameda County at age 17, she aged out at 21, overcoming significant challenges. Graduating summa cum laude with two Bachelor’s degrees from The New School in 2021, she now works full-time as a paralegal at a nonprofit focused on housing justice while attending CUNY Law part-time. Leigh-Anna aims to graduate by Spring 2027 and open an immigration law practice to support unaccompanied minors, advocating for policies to protect youth in foster care.
