Spent 3 years in Massachusettes' foster care system
Ashley spent 3 years in Massachusetts' foster system where she was eventually placed in an adoptive home. Ashley started her own charity called Suitcases Of Hope, which provides suitcases and personal items to foster youth in need. She has spoken on capital hill for Voices for Adoption, as well as 2014’s National Adoption Day. Ashley is a committed to not only improving foster care, but also communities across the country. She has traveled to Maine to rebuild homes for impoverished communities. Presently, she is taking a year off before college to travel to South Carolina as an AmeriCorps member. Post AmeriCorps she intends to enroll in college for her bachelor’s degree.
