“Something to change about the foster care experience would be to connect foster kids with each other more frequently, to ensure children that they are not the only ones, and that they're in this scary process together.”
Aries was a top cadet and team leader in his high school JROTC, where he has racked up more than a hundred hours of community service. He feels that his experience in JROTC has taught him the importance of giving back to the community, as well as given him valuable leadership experience.
Determination and discipline are two traits Aries embodies. He plans to enlist in the U.S. Navy and looks forward to pursuing his education.
Aries felt that the experience of foster care was stressful, and he struggled in some of his classes. He also experienced anxiety. But with resilience and determination, Aries has become a leader in his community.
