Email

Using email is a great way to generate awareness and influence your network. Below are sample emails you can use during National Foster Care Month and to promote #FosterEquality.

Email Option #1
Subject: Equality for Foster Youth during National Foster Care Month
Body: Did you know that May is National Foster Care Month? FosterClub, the national network for young people in foster care, is observing the month with a #FosterEquality movement for LGBTQ youth in foster care. All youth in the foster care system are faced with difficult circumstances and obstacles to overcome. These challenges are amplified when the youth identifies as LGBTQ. Often times, acceptance and supports are lacking.

There are many factors that contribute to the LGBTQ foster youth struggle. During National Foster Care Month, FosterClub and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's All Children - All Families (ACAF) project encourages everyone – not just members of the foster care community – to acknowledge efforts that provide LGBTQ foster youth with safe homes and support networks.

To learn more about the movement and to lend your support, visit www.fosterclub.org. Also, I ask you to forward this email to others. This movement needs national support and with your voice, it can be heard.
