Cody Rivera holds an industrial hemp processing license and is developing a hemp market in New York State. Cody, a first-generation college graduate, received a BA in Architecture from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2017. Upon graduation, Cody started a career at Bank of America - Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor/ Wealth Management Trainee; While in school, Cody organized and led his college’s first Foster Youth College Tour Program for foster youth in New York state. Additionally, he created a middle school science outreach program (GSat-1) with Geneva middle school students. He helped the students construct a research payload that was launched into outer space by NASA-Wallops Flight Facility, in collaboration with the Colorado Space Grant Consortiums RockSat-C Program.
Cody was a spokesperson for FosterClub’s Health Care for Former Foster Youth Act campaign launch, a 2016 FosterClub All-Star and is an alumnus of foster care. Cody’s honors include: Member of Alia Innovation’s Ten of Ten Cohort; Hobart and William Smith's Colleges President’s Civic Leadership Award 2x and Druid Award for Leadership; He was Key Speaker at Seamen’s Society for Children and Families “Black and White Gala”, where former President Bill Clinton was in attendance.
