Senior Director, Nike Inc.

 

Benjamin Edwards is a marketing and strategy professional known for crafting purpose driven corporate initiatives to support a triple bottom-line. With over twenty years of service to Nike Inc., Benjamin has held senior positions at Nike as well as its affiliates, Hurley International and Converse. He currently runs Nike’s effort to digitally mark product enabling new connections to consumers and marketplace transformation. Previous to that, he led Nike’s effort to advance its sustainability mission through external partnerships and unique activations.

At Hurley, Benjamin served as VP of Corporate Outreach and Sustainability. He worked to combat water scarcity through the surf company's H2O Initiative and helped provide access to clean water for over 10 million people. Prior to Hurley, Benjamin led the (PRODUCT)RED division of Converse, partnering with artists to amplify conscious consumerism for the footwear industry. He created the 1HUND(RED) project, bringing 100 globally relevant artists to design unique limited-edition product to help fight AIDS in Africa. Earlier, Benjamin spent 10 years in marketing and product-related roles for Nike Inc.

Benjamin served as a founding member and advisor of the Hillsboro Visionary Foundation by creating an endowment fund to support extra-curricular activities for his former school district. He also serves as a special consultant for The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, California. Benjamin resides in Hillsboro, Oregon on a hazelnut farm with his wonderful daughter, Sofia and his supportive wife, Terri. Ben holds a BS degree from Portland State University, where he majored in both marketing strategy and advertising management.
