Feedback on the article "The Holidays: When Things Get Rough"
The holidays are especially hard for me because of the constant feeling of being an outsider. I have had foster parents who tried very hard to help me fit in and feel like family. But I can never get over that feeling. My last foster mother was really cool she was funny and I enjoy spending time with her, she even referred to me as her draught. AT a Christmas party with her family and friend she introduced me as her daughter which of cores I did not mind. But during the party I had several people walk up to me asking questions like I did not know Denise (my foster mother) had a daughter, how old are you? Why have I never seen you before? At this point I was dumfounded. Should I not answer and be perceived as rude or should I answer letting everyone know that I am a foster child and subject me self to those steers of pity and even more uncomfortable questions. For the entire time at the party I felt miserable and lonely. I know it was not my foster mothers fault and despite her many effort there was nothing she could to extinguish my feeling of not belonging.

I see a lot of people are sad because they are without they're family. Try having no family at all like I do. I'm not sad, I just make the best out of it. Like you guys who are without or your mom passed away or whatever. Try to be happy and make the best out of it. Like the last girl that posted said, if her mom saw her sad she would eb sad. Act to make them proud. Although they're not there, act as if they were there.
