I desperately need to get guardianship of my grandson but have been told they will never take him away from his mother. She is a horrible mother. He has been living with me for over 2 months now, she said I could "keep" him. I have been paying for daycare, all his expenses, and trying to provide him with a loving and stable environment. If I challenge her in court and lose, she will never let me see him again and I wont be able to "watch" over him. I am terrified of what will happen to this baby if he goes back to her but right now I have nothing saying she can't take him back. What do I do to ensure that I can get him and give this kid a chance at life! She doesn't call to check on him EVER, or take my calls to her. She only sees him about once a month and her last visit she whipped him the first day and locked him in her bedroom. He is only 1-1/2 and so confused. He loves me and my husband, calls me momma. When she is around, he wants nothing to do with her. I have seen her doing abusive things to him. She has basically abandoned him but won't give me anything in writing so i can provide him with health insurance or get financial help for him which I DESPERATELY need. I beg of anyone who can tell me, what do i do to get him away from her. I have one shot at this so I have to do this right or I will never see him or be able to protect him from her again. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i need to find rights for the foster parents
May husband vilad my foster daughter and ocs removed her from our home. I have filed for divorce and he have no contact we me or my other adopit children and she was in my home 4yrs. Tell me how can I get her back. My other 2 children are hurting and she still want to come back home. please hepl me
When the agency determines that a kid is in danger, a caseworker investigates the situation and may need to remove the youth from the home. The caseworker then goes to court to tell a judge about the danger in the home. If the judge decides that the child is unsafe, the court takes responsibility for the child, and the child becomes a "ward" of the court.
The judge (or the court) assigns a "guardian" – someone to fill in and take the place of a biological parent. Sometimes a guardian is a relative (grandparent, aunt, or cousin), a teacher or a foster parent. Typically they reside with the ward of the court, but every case is different. Without knowing the specifics of the case, it's hard to say why they still reside with her.
My friend went to court to get custody of her two young children and the court made them a ward of the court what does that mean they stii reside with her. thank you
