Scholarship Information

A limited number of scholarships ranging in amounts from $500 to $2,500 are available on a one-time basis for youth who have been in out-of-home care and are entering a degree, license or certificate program. To qualify for the scholarship, the youth
must:
1. Have been in out-of-home care (foster home, group home or child caring institution or court ordered Kinship Care) at least six months since the age of 15 or have been in out-of home care, adopted after the age of 15.
2. Be accepted into college or a technical /vocational program when the application is submitted. A copy of the acceptance letter must accompany the scholarship application.
3. Be age 20 or less.

The funds for all scholarships will be paid directly to the institution for the exact amount of the tuition and fees. These funds are not for outreach, enrichment or special student programs.

Instructions:
1. Complete the application. (Form may be downloaded)
2. Submit Form. (Submit by the third week of May for the summer session; the first week of July for the fall session; and the second week of December for the spring session.
3. Applicants will be informed within 20 days whether or not they will
receive a scholarship.
