Like many I am a foster child. I've been one since the age of two. While I have been placed in at least eight different homes, I have been fortunate to have found a family that loves me and excepts me and even though I am 18 and cannot be adopted she treats me as if I belong to her. However, I am still missing apart of me. Being born and raised in Detroit I have seen alot of hard time that Michigan Foster Care system places on a child and one being that they separated my siblings and I. I wanted to ask how do I go about finding them?

You can search for your siblings through the nationwide directory, infousa.com, in case they're listed. Using Google helps too and if you really want to great lengths you can always hire a private investigator...good luck!

All of these post are helpful=] Reading them makes me want to be able to help everyone. I would suggest for people looking for people 13 & up to try Myspace, Facebook & Twitter. I couldnt tell you how many long lost friends & family Ive found on those sites. Also try googling the names. It helps. Contact social workers, use birth certificates anything. Eventually you will find your loved ones=]
