Have ever wanted to go to Washington DC? Now's your chance. There's an organization called The Campaign for U.S. Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, (or CRC for short). They're inviting youth in grades 6th-12th throughout the U.S. to participate in its second nationwide essay contest. The purpose of this contest is to continue to raise awareness of the CRC, which is a human rights treaty that was created to promote and protect the well-being of children worldwide

The essay should be between 350-500 words, and involves answering your choice of 5 questions, each involving a different scenario. 5 winners will be chosen and will receive airfare and accommodations for him/herself and one parent/legal guardian/foster parent to participate in the June 1-2, 2009 Symposium at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Click here for more info and Good Luck!!!
