Uh Oh! You're using the Internet Explorer 6 Browser. Our site doesn't work as well for this browser, and in general it's 4 years old now and not very good.

To get the maximum amount of pleasure while browsing this and other websites you can download for free any one of these:

But if you can't download a new version on this computer you'll still be ok. Just not great! ;-P

Wow

So today when I was going through Facebook and writing on all the FosterClub's staff and all the 09 interns walls and sending them messages it hit me that the summer is really over. I really hadn't realized it in class because I only have Tuesday Thursday classes which makes my week really empty since I don't work currently and all my friends are either in class or work.

There's no place like home, except Seaside

I’ve been meaning to write a blog about the end of the summer for a while, but honestly it’s been really difficult. Asking me to blog about the last three months is like asking someone who found faith where they found it at, and what it looked like. It’s not possible for me to do it any justice at all.

All-Starting

So, wow! My first week as an all-star was crazy, from moving in to going to trainings everyday. I share a room with five other people and I love it!

Week one in the all-star house!

The 2009 all-stars have been living, breathing, and working together in Seaside, Oregon for a week now. It’s been an amazing experience, and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing “family”. We’ve been working hard, learning and presenting workshops, and having those “aha! Moments,” as Oprah would say.

Everything Happens For A Reason...

Have you ever asked yourself WHY ME??? I know I have many times, both for good and bad things. But I want to challenge you to ask urself WHY NOT ME??? What makes you so unqulaified to handle what life throws at you? Granted no one knows it all, what I am trying to say is what is stopping you from growing, learning; from becoming all that you were meant to be?

Closing a Door, but Opening the Window

Wednesday is my last day in this house. I have come to call this small right side of the duplex home. It's going to be hard to leave the people and the memories in Seaside. We're trying to take as many pictures as we can to remember, but it wont be the same.

About the FosterClub All-Stars

The All-Star program was founded on the belief that young people who have successfully transitioned from foster care to responsible young adulthood are best suited to impact the
transition of their younger peers. Over the years, FosterClub has been providing a way for young leaders to reach out to other youth through Teen Conferences.

Footsteps to follow on the path of life

So today, Oregon CASA's all over the state came together for a day event where they requested six All-Stars to speak. We told our stories, and I feel like this was the best event I have gone too, in terms of creating a path of reform and change. Change is good, change is for the better.
