Uh Oh! You're using the Internet Explorer 6 Browser. Our site doesn't work as well for this browser, and in general it's 4 years old now and not very good.

To get the maximum amount of pleasure while browsing this and other websites you can download for free any one of these:

But if you can't download a new version on this computer you'll still be ok. Just not great! ;-P

What does joining a Club mean? If you decide to join a club, that means you will receive an automatic e-mail whenever new content is added to the site. That way, when in comes to what's going on in the Club's you're interested in, you're always in the know.

How do I join a Club? Easy. Just click on the 'join a club' link on the top right on any of the 5 club pages. Or, for an explanation of each of the club pages and how to join, click here

I haven't signed up for any Clubs. Am I opted into any automatically? You're not opted into any of the Clubs. However, there are also group pages on the site for all 50 states and for some youth groups. Group membership is just like club membership in that you get an e-mail when new content is added. You are automatically opted into your state's group. This way, you will be able to keep up with what's going on in your state.

How can I see more info on groups I'm a part of or unsubscribe? on the top right of every page is blue icon and a link to the number of groups you're a part of. Click on this link and your groups will appear below. For example, your groups might look like this:

From here, you can do a few things:

new group posts You can click on the new group posts link to see a list of all the posts that have been made in groups you're a part of. There's also info on who made the post, and if anyone made any comments. You can even find a list of all the comments you're made for each group you're a part of.

manage groups You can click on the manage groups listing to see of all the members in each group you're a part of. Click on the my 'membership link' to unsubscribe. Just click on the 'leave this group' link.

Working with current and former foster care children, teens, and young adults is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. With the web site www.melissadavismusic.com we started a ministry called Grace Covered and I am A.B.L.E.D.; Acheiving, Believing, Loving, Encouraging, and Determined to make a change in our lives. We work with these kids teaching them to self advocate, raise awareness, and build self esteem to be able to make changes needed in their lives. I wouldn't change it for the world.

WHat a huge undertaking and so desperately necessary for our youth in this country who are aging out of the fc system. I can't imagine how hard it must be to develop a strategy and plan for this but remember, "change begins with me".
I would contact local politicians within your community to make them aware of this undertaking. I would also let the Human Services Community within your county know about your endeavor and start networking. That is extremely important. Perhaps you could collaborate with several agencies who work with and support youth. There are a lot of grants out there with money for youth. Perhaps you might speak with a Not For Profit Agency who writes grants (many of us do already) and see about a collaboration. This is what I would do to develop a base for support of our teens once they age out of the foster care systems. Good luck to you Ye Juanda. I hope I read about your endeavor one of these days.

Have you talked to anyone in Arkansas' ILP program yet? I would think that might be a great place to start.
