Are you or someone you know deserving of special recognition for leadership to improve foster care? Get nominating! We're looking to recognize young people from foster care, aged 16-24, who are making a difference in their communities, state, or nationally, for FosterClub's 2nd annual Outstanding Young Leaders Award.
Winners will be announced as part of our celebration of National Foster Care Month this May. In addition to being recognized on the FosterClub.com website, press announcements will be sent to local and national media, as well as announced to the United States Congress. Winners will receive special certificates and other prizes. Winners may also be contacted to share their story with FosterClub partners and other media.
THE DETAILS:
Nominations are due by April 15th, 5pm PT (8pm ET).
ELIGIBILTY:
Young people may be nominated by someone they know, or they may nominate themselves. Nominees must be aged 16-24 as of May 1, 2001. Nominees must have spent some time in foster care. Nominations are not open to FosterClub staff or interns (including All-Stars).

You will be required to provide a short biography with your nomination. You can view some samples here.
HEADSHOT
After completing this survey, you will be required to send a photo of yourself to lupe@fosterclub.com to complete the nomination. A headshot (shoulders and up) is preferred, but it does not need to be a professional photo. If the nominee is under the age of 18, permission from their legal guardian and/or case worker will be required to use a picture. Photos may be used on our website an in publicity and media efforts, and all award winners will be required to sign a photo release form. If it is not possible to use a photo, you may use a signature FosterClub avatar (which can be created for free through FosterClub.com).
